Select product id and product name automatically

You can use foreign key field type, and in the field value put in product_id and product_name. it will allow you to search with product_name and product_id.

Unfortunately this is outside of our support.

However, you can do a little work around like this. choose any table available with foreign key field type and then do the search whole your component for that table name. you will be able to see and change that table into virtuemart field and table.
