Build does not seem to generate the editable form

Built a table for display as list and ability to have users to edit. So all front end -- no administrative parts or access.

I followed the default build.

I did however populate the table outside of the tool.

I did not populate the component fields in the auto create. The fields are now asset_id ( default 0 ), ordering (default 0), state ( default 1), created_by (default 0) and checked_out (default 0) for all rows.

I can see the data in the list page. No issues here. It is working well.

When I attempt to edit, the page displays nothing. The table is modified ( checked_out and the time stamp changed properly ). I cannot edit it again unless I clear it ( return it to 0) .

Any ideas??

my error -- was manually moving files around. Drop one or two.
