filter on checkboxes with multiple selected

Dumping this in the forums, because the contactform returns a time-out when trying to send (might check that out).

i added a checkboxes field with 4 values and added a filter. Folter shows up on frontend, but does not give the expected results.

Filter only returns a item when there is 1 value selected in the backend, but with multiple values selected the item is not returned with filtering. It seems that the filter looks for a exact match (for example #value1 AND #value2) instead of the expected (#value1 OR #value2). THat last behaviour is expected since you can only select 1 given value in the frontend filter, not multiple. This issue is fairly critical for a component im creating, also reported the bug in Github but i need a quick solution!


My suggestion: A filter on fields with the possibility to select multiple values (checkboxes, select list with multiple) should, imho, have two choices when adding a filter:
1) type of filter: one value selectable (like the current dropdown) or multiple items selectable (checkboxes for example) and 2)exact match or partial match with selected values. that would be ideal!

thank you for reporting the issue you had with the contact form. We just checked and it seems to be working fine now. It might have been a temporary issue.
