More than 17 years of time saved so far - What we could have done instead

The whole point of Component Creator is to take the tedious work out of Joomla development, giving you more time to spend doing other things. And it certainly seems to be working. We’ve calculated that to date Component Creator has saved a total of 17 years of our users time!

How did we calculate this? 

Simple. We worked out that on average a user saves around 2 hours for every component built. So far more than 80.000 components have been created by our users. Thats 160.000 hours right there, which works out at… yep, you guessed it: just over 17 years of saved time.

Naturally, being the fun loving geeks we are, that got us thinking. What could we have built instead? Here’s what we came up with.

• Most of the great pyramid at Giza. ( It took 20 years to build.)
• Most of the Taj Mahal (It took 19 years)
• 13 Empire State buildings (took 15 months to build wow!)

But in the end we decided that although all the buildings above are pretty awesome, none can match the total awesomeness of…..The ultimate cat house. It only took 15 years to build.
